Sylvia

I love living on our farm because the animals feel like my friends and I know all their names.

I help take care of the baby cows, goats, and sheep, and I’m not scared because I’ve grown up with them. The alpacas are funny and curious, and I like when they hum while I’m nearby.

I get to help my parents feed animals, show visitors around, and teach people how to be gentle and kind. The farm is where I learn how to be responsible and caring every day.

I don’t just live on the farm

Gunnar

I like the baby cows the best. They lick my hands and I laugh. The farm is my playground. The animals are my friends.

This is my home. 💛

Diana

Alpaca Care Manager

In 2016 my daughter introduced me to the world of Alpaca. She and I worked side by side at Canterbury Farm. This is where I met my best friend “Cheyenne” (pictured with me). Canterbury Farm has closed, however it has been my sincere passion to continue working with these beautiful majestic animals, so I bought Cheyenne and moved her to Pure Passions Farm to board. It is my passion to share my love with everyone.

Samyra

At Pure Passions Farm, my responsibilities involve animal care (feeding, cleaning, transporting for events) and assisting with private tours

I possess a genuine love for animals, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen willingness to learn. The culture, the teamwork, and—of course—the animals make it a place I’m truly proud to be part of. I have a special place in my heart for the cows, and I love seeing the happiness they bring to everyone who visits.

My biggest motivation comes from wanting each animal to have the best life possible. I especially enjoy educating the public about animal care and well-being and seeing the reactions on people’s faces when they visit the farm for a private tour or event.

My favorite animals at Pure Passions Farm are the micro mini Highland cows—especially the adult cow, Rusty and the baby cow Apple Jax. On a particularly hard day, I went into the adult cows enclosure and called their names, and they all came running to me from the pastures. Moments like that remind me why this work means so much to me.

When I’m not at the farm, I enjoy taking care of my own pets, reading, and relaxing with some reality tv

Angela

Hey! My name is Angela,
and here at Pure Passions Farm I help give guests tours of the farm and assist with bringing our animals to various events.

I truly enjoy working here because it allows me to care for and learn about the animals, then share that knowledge with our guests. Teaching others about the animals is especially rewarding, and I feel very privileged to spend time with them.

When I’m not on the farm, I enjoy embroidering, reading, and relaxing while watching my favorite shows.

Briana

At Pure Passions Farm, I have helped with private tours, goat yoga, and bringing the animals to petting zoos. I’m known for making people who visit us fall in love with the cows/all the animals even more! I love working here because I’m a huge animal lover, and I learn something new every day about them.

My favorite part of the farm is, hands down, the Highland cows—especially when I get to feed them with a baby bottle. I also get to train the baby alpacas which is very fun. When I’m not on the farm, I enjoy traveling with my boyfriend and hiking.

Donna

I have loved alpaca for years and hoped to raise them in my retirement. It didn’t work out, but I found the buy and board option at Pure Passions. It was perfect for me. I got Frances almost 3 years ago and in June 2024 she had a beautiful  Cria, Frankie, with blue eyes.

We’re hoping for another baby this summer or fall.

I love all the animals at the farm, but I guess the alpacas and the goats are my favorites. I often volunteer at the events and field trips. It’s fun to interact with the visitors and share the animals with them. And I just love hanging out with all the animals.

This is me with Baby Frankie.

Sandy

Teacher

For the past 3 years at Pure Passions Farm, I have taught goat yoga, art classes with their mini highland cows, and educational classes.

I enjoy working here because I love farm life and seeing how much fun people have during goat yoga. I’m known for my easygoing teaching style and love sharing my passion for yoga and art. This helps people to feel relaxed, connect to their creativity, and explore self-expression. My favorite part of the farm are the goats, especially Holly! She is always offering me extra cuddles.

When I’m not on the farm I enjoy hiking, painting, bird watching, spending time with my husband and daughter, reading, learning, and traveling.
This is me with Baby Frankie.

Brooke

Hi, I’m Brooke! I’m lucky enough to work here at Pure Passions Farm and also be an alpaca owner. My girl is Hadley, and yes… I’m a very proud alpaca mom.

You’ll usually find me hanging out with all the animals because it’s honestly impossible to pick a favorite. I love spending time with our micro mini Highland cows, the goats, the sheep, and of course the alpacas. It’s been so fun learning their different personalities and quirks.

I truly enjoy meeting new people and seeing the joy on their faces when they visit. Sharing my love for the animals and teaching fun facts people might not know is one of my favorite parts of being here.

When I’m not on the farm, I love reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Kate

At Pure Passions Farm, I have helped with both morning chores when needed, as well as field trips to the farm and goat yoga at the local middle school.

I love working here not only to spend time with my favorite animals, but also to share the joy the animals can bring to others. My favorite part of the farm is the goats, especially when they are so excited to see me that they almost knock me over! Springtime with all the babies being born on the farm is also a favorite of mine.

When I’m not on the farm, I love to read, go to concerts, and to travel. My two high school aged sons also keep me busy going to a lot of basketball games!

Kathleen

My main roles at Pure Passions Farm are animal care and guest engagement. I lead tours and escort our animals at both on- and off-farm events. One of the strengths I bring to the team is creating a welcoming, engaging experience that helps guests feel comfortable and connected.

I grew up working on an Arabian horse and beef cattle farm and later volunteered as an EdZOOcator at the Akron Zoo. Working at Pure Passions beautifully combines my love of farm work and animal education. I get to spend time with our adorable, sweet animals while also sharing them with others. Teaching guests about our animals and watching them experience each animal’s unique personality is incredibly rewarding.

It’s hard to choose a favorite animal here—they are all so special. I do spend the most time with Remy and Apple Jacks, our baby cows, so they hold a big place in my heart. Bonnie and Clyde, the mini donkeys, are a very close second, and I love spending extra time with them whenever I can. My favorite part of being part of the farm is the bonds I’m forming—not only with the animals, but also with the people. The friendships I’ve built with Scott, Sigga, and the rest of the Pure Passions family make this place truly special to me.

Madison

At Pure Passions Farm, I have helped with chores, travel events, tours, and so much more! I am known for my love and compassion for the animals.
I love working here because I enjoy spending time with the animals, and I enjoy sharing knowledge about them with others and seeing the same joy on their faces! My favorite part of the farm is the donkeys, Bonnie and Clyde. Especially when it’s time to give them carrots!
When I’m not on the farm, I enjoy spending time with my cats and boyfriend!

Jenna

Hi, my name is Jenna!

At Pure Passions Farm you can usually find me hanging out with the Alpacas, though I am usually off the farm bringing our wonderful animals to many events around the area and educating the community about all of the animals that we have. I enjoy running the petting zoos and getting to see the smiles on everyone’s faces when they see the animals. I have been working with alpacas for about 13 years so I enjoy getting to share my knowledge and love for the animals. Working at Pure Passions farm has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people while getting to be around animals all day. It has allowed to me to learn about more animals than just alpacas and it has allowed me to share my passion for animals with others. I have loved getting to be a part of this farm and the team. My favorite animals on the farm are 3 Alpacas: Junebugg, her baby Jellybean, and Gin Gin…though I may be biased because these are my 3 alpacas. When I’m not on the farm you can find me at school as I’m currently a full time student earning my doctorate degree!

Megan

Hi, I’m Megan!

I’m a lifelong animal lover and love my job at Pure Passions Farm. My favorite animals are goats. I get to feed them, clean their stalls, and introduce visitors to their silly personalities. Alongside the goats, I enjoy the Miniature Highland Cows and the alpacas who watch every hand offering food pellets and race to be first to get a treat. Every animal has a unique personality, and I love getting to know each one, learning its name and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I find it fun to guide guests around the farm, help them feed the animals, share stories, answer questions and make them feel at home.

When I’m not on the farm, I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, camping with the family, and taking care of my 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Kara

Hi, I’m Kara!

I’m new to the farm and already loving every minute of it. I first came here for a private tour and instantly knew this was a place I wanted to be part of. I’ve always had a huge love and compassion for animals, and getting to work with them has been such a special experience.

I adore all the animals here, but the baby cows completely stole my heart—especially when they come over for cuddles. Being on the farm has been amazing so far, and spending time with the animals truly feels healing.

When I’m not at the farm, I work as a mental health counselor, spend time with my little zoo of fur babies at home, and try my best to slow down, enjoy life, and live in the moment.

Elena

My name is Elena,

and I’m so happy to be apart of the team at Pure Passions Farm. At the farm, my main responsibilities include animal care (cleaning, feeding, transportation to events) and helping with private tours.

I’ve always had a genuine love for animals, so getting to spend my time caring for them and helping visitors interact with them is something I really enjoy. The animals on the farm are also very therapeutic for me, and being around them always helps brighten my day. I love seeing how excited people get when they meet the animals for the first time during tours or events-it’s always fun to watch their reactions.

My favorite animal on the farm is an Alpaca named Poptart! She definitely has a special place in my heart and always makes me smile when I see her. Every animal on the farm has their own personality, which makes working here even more fun and rewarding.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and taking walks with my two dogs. Being outdoors and around animals is something that has always made me happy, which is one of the many reasons I love being part of the Pure Passions Farm team.

Garrett

My name is Garrett,

and I’ve been part of the Pure Passions Farm family since 2024. Around the farm, I’m often known as the “Chicken Coop Professional.” One of my main responsibilities is making sure the animals’ pastures and living spaces are clean, safe, and comfortable. I take pride in helping create an environment where both our animals and guests can enjoy the farm to the fullest.

When I’m not working on the farm, I enjoy participating as a Civil War reenactor and bringing history to life at historical events. Some of my other hobbies include woodworking and whittling, as well as horseback riding.

I’m proud to be part of the Pure Passions Farm team and enjoy helping care for the animals and keeping the farm a great place for everyone who visits.

Sarah

My name is Sarah!

At Pure Passions Farm, I help with everything from daily chores and animal training to assisting with tours and events. I love to jump in wherever I’m needed! I enjoy working here because it’s such a rewarding environment. There’s nothing quite like watching the joy this place brings to others (and to myself, honestly). That connection is what keeps me going. My favorite part of being at the farm is Rusty. I especially love when I’m bringing Ash and Onyx back from an event and I can hear him mooing as we pull in, it’s the best welcome home. When I’m not on the farm, you can usually find me working at the Aurora Hotel and Event Center or traveling to see my family!

Carl

At Pure Passions Farm, I help with all of the animals. I help with chores, events and farm maintenance.  I’m known for being a team player, stepping up when needed and being proactive.

I enjoy working here because of my love of all animals, being able to be with them and then educating our visitors about them. My favorite part of the farm is when cria, kids and lambs are born especially when I get to be involved with the birth. After that being able to experience the babies growth and see their personalities is special.

When I’m not on the farm, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, sports and good food.
