A Week of Growth, Community, and Big Milestones at Pure Passions Farm
Not every week on the farm is about being busy. Sometimes the quieter moments create the biggest progress.
This past week at Pure Passions Farm gave us a chance to focus on growth in different ways — strengthening partnerships, improving our store, leveling up our brand, and celebrating some meaningful milestones both on the farm and at home.
While the pace was a little slower early in the week, the momentum quickly returned as the weekend approached.

When the Cameras Came Back to the Farm
Earlier this week the local TV crew returned to film the Easter segment they had previously scoped out on the farm with our donkeys.
It was freezing that morning. Everyone involved was bundled up and trying to stay warm, but the crew was fantastic and incredibly kind to work with. Even though our donkeys tend to be a little shy, they handled the experience well and showed up for their moment on camera.
It’s always exciting to see our animals helping tell meaningful stories and bringing a little bit of farm life to the community.
Young Calves Stepping Into Their Roles
Penelope and Theo — our newest calves — had their first visit to All Fired Up this week. They both did amazing.
One of the most rewarding parts of raising these animals is watching them grow into their roles as ambassadors for the farm. These visits allow people to interact with animals in ways they normally never would, and the calves handled the attention like professionals.
They are incredibly sweet and are quickly becoming favorites with guests.

Growing the Farm Store
As our experiences grow, we’re also working to grow the Pure Passions Farm store.
Even though we don’t operate traditional retail hours, we want guests to be able to leave with something meaningful — whether it’s a souvenir, a practical item, or a high-quality product made from alpaca fiber.
This week we found a company near where I grew up in Wisconsin that produces what may be the best alpaca socks I’ve ever worn: Hollow Socks.
They offer a wide range of styles including:
- Crew socks
- Running socks
- Ankle socks
- Compression socks
- Trade/work socks
We’re excited to bring these into the store and eventually offer them online as well. Products like this allow guests to take a small piece of the farm experience home with them.
Elevating the Brand
Another exciting step forward this week was receiving new Pure Passions Farm branded apparel for the team from
Young’s Screen-printing in Stow.
The hats, vests, and other apparel look fantastic and give the team a much more polished and professional appearance.
Combined with the design work Amber has been doing for our online presence, it feels like we’ve taken a big step forward in how we present the farm. We will always be a fun, welcoming place for families — but we’re also growing into a much more professional and refined agritourism experience.

Learning and Building Local Connections
Sigga and I also attended our first Stow Chamber of Commerce meeting, which focused on how small businesses can use AI to improve efficiency.
It was encouraging to see local organizations helping business owners stay ahead of technology that can help streamline operations and improve productivity.
The meeting also reinforced something we believe strongly in — the value of local connections. We met the owner of a local printing company, and within minutes it opened the door to a new partnership.
Five minutes before the meeting I had been ready to place a printing order through Canva. Now we’ll likely be working with Minuteman Press locally instead. It’s a simple reminder that relationships and community connections matter.
A Packed Weekend on the Farm
By the time the weekend arrived, things were moving fast again.
Highlights included:
- A sold-out felting class
- Multiple bottle-feeding experiences
- A full schedule of private farm tours
- Our cows visiting Painting with a Twist
- A private MOOvie Night and birthday party combo that turned out amazing
Every event is different, but they all share one thing in common — they bring people together in ways that are meaningful and memorable.

A Meaningful Hire
One of the most meaningful moments of the week was officially hiring one of our special needs volunteers.
He has been incredibly dedicated to the farm for a long time and consistently does an amazing job. This decision has been a long time coming, and we couldn’t be happier to make it official.
This opportunity will be great for him — and it’s great for us too. Watching people grow through their involvement with the farm is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Family Moments That Matter
With everything happening on the farm this weekend, I was reminded once again how important our team is.
Because of them, I was able to step away and spend time with my family shopping for things we’ve needed for a long time. Even more importantly, I was able to spend the entire day Sunday celebrating our daughter Sylvia’s 4th birthday.
Moments like that are priceless.
Building Pure Passions Farm has always been about creating a life that allows us to build something meaningful while still being present for the milestones that matter most.

Grateful for the Journey
Weeks like this remind us how much Pure Passions Farm has grown — and how many people have played a role in that journey.
From our team members and volunteers…
to our partners and local businesses…
to the families who come out to visit the farm…
We’re incredibly grateful.
And we’re just getting started.
